The Council cannot currently demonstrate a 5YHLS (3.4-3.7 years - February 2025 AMR), meaning the presumption in favour of sustainable development is engaged. A Regulation 18 consultation on the emerging Local Plan is anticipated in early 2026. This represents an important early opportunity to promote the Site within the plan-making process, ahead of subsequent stages. Notably, planning permission (Ref: 3/21/1178/FUL) has been granted for seven residential units on designated Green Belt land immediately east of the Site, demonstrating precedent for development in this location.
