Mark's 30+ years’ experience in public and private sector development management gives him a deep understanding of planning across Scotland.

Having been an integral member of the planning team that secured permission for a major greenbelt development for one of the UK's largest banking institutions, Mark has an enthusiasm for planning and all the challenges it presents - both urban and rural.
It is no exaggeration that gaining the right planning permission can be a life-changing experience for some clients and when you are involved with multi-million pound developments, the pressure is on. Mark's experience at the sharp end of planning spans economic development, tourism, heritage, residential and more.
As Head of our Scotland planning team, he leads on some ground-breaking projects to release economic and employment potential, as well as embracing sustainable development and green growth areas. Mark's professionalism and expertise means clients realise their development goals even in challenging circumstances.
As planning adapts to the changing political landscape, so has Mark's depth of knowledge. With a background in local government, he is well connected and thrives on the challenges of his role - whether it is community engagement, committee presentations, expert witness or providing advice to charitable organisations.
Mark is MRTPI accredited.
