  Located to the north of Raby Castle, Park and Gardens, this BNG scheme will see the creation of a range of habitat types to enhance biodiversity and promote wildlife movement across the landscape.

  The legal agreement for this scheme is currently in development.

  Developers can secure biodiversity units for the following habitat types:

  Very High Distinctiveness

  • Species-Rich Native Hedgerow with Trees (Associated with Banks or Ditches)

  High Distinctiveness

  • Pond (Priority Habitat)

  Medium Distinctiveness

  • Grassland
  • Heathland & Shrub
  • Individual Trees
