Biodiversity net gain initiative creating over 33 biodiversity units for sale

• Overview

  This scheme sites within the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, providing a vast coverage for trading biodiversity units on a 1:1 basis.

  A mosaic of grassland, scrub, trees and hedgerows will be created across this site, providing habitat connectivity to the wider landscape.

  The site is strategically positioned next to the Eskamhorn Meadows SSSI which includes lowland meadow priority habitat, and several areas of deciduous woodland priority habitat also surround the site.

  The biodiversity baseline and the Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan have been completed for this scheme.
