The small village of Cortachy benefits from a primary school, namely Cortachy Primary School, whilst the secondary school is provided by Webster’s High School in Kirriemuir.

Kirriemuir provides a wide range of services including a medical practice, shops, primary schools, supermarkets and hotels. Kirriemuir Golf Club is a James Braid course nestling at the foot of the Angus Glens, providing The Clubhouse for events and meals and is open to visitors as well as members. Webster’s Sports Centre is a dual use site attached to Webster’s High School, Kirriemuir, and is therefore mainly open to the public in the evenings and at weekends.

Muirskeith is set in a rural location surrounded by farmland and neighboured by a working farm. The property is located by way of a shared access road off the B955.

DESCRIPTION

Dating from approximately 1880 and altered historically by combining two original cottages into one Muirskeith is a detached single storey cottage built of stone with a slate covered roof boasting three bedrooms in a peaceful rural setting.

The property currently extends to approximately 108 sq.m2, all on one level, providing three bedrooms, a fitted bathroom with separate walk-in shower, a bright and comfortable living room with wood burning stove for extra heating and double aspect windows. Further to this and at the heart of Muirskeith is the spacious kitchen which is fitted with a range of wall and base units and has ample room for a table and chairs with attractive views to the front of the property. The accommodation is completed by a rear entrance porch with a useful and adaptable room to the rear.

Externally there is a detached timber garage with mains electricity and a timber lean-to which has been utilised as a log store. The oil tank serving the heating system is located within the rear garden.

The wrap around gardens are mainly laid to lawn at the rear of the property whilst partial shrubbery and mature hedging providing a level of privacy to the side and front of the property. A small burn runs alongside the shared access road at a lower level.
