This landscape scale biodiversity net gain initiative will generate approximately 285 biodiversity and river units for sale.
Located on the Cambridgeshire and Essex border within the River Granta catchment, this scheme will restore the in-stream and riparian habitats and revert arable land into a biodiverse landscape. The scheme will form part of the Estate’s environmental management objectives to restore and preserve ecologically important habitats, creating wildlife corridors and generating public benefits.

Developers can secure biodiversity units for the following habitat types:
- Woodland habitats of high distinctiveness
- Grassland habitats of medium distinctiveness
- Heathland and shrub habitat of medium distinctiveness
- Individual trees of medium significance
- Lake habitats of medium distinctiveness
- Watercourse
Location
The 71 ha site is located adjacent to Bartlow, approx. 0.5 km west of Haverhill, within the South Cambridgeshire and Uttlesford LPAs.
