Biodiversity net gain scheme in development in Hertfordshire.

• Overview

  
  Located within the South Suffolk and North Essex Clayland National Character Area, this scheme will increase the coverage of biodiverse habitats and enhance connectivity in the landscape. Arable reversion to neutral grassland and mixed scrub habitats will support buffering the adjacent Marshlands Wood Local Wildlife Site.

  The BNG scheme will generate approximately 130 biodiversity units consisting of grasslands and scrub.

  The biodiversity baseline has been completed for this scheme, with the Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan in development.
