Biodiversity net gain initiative creating approximately 187 biodiversity units for sale

• Overview

  Landscape-scale initiative delivering a variety of habitats and generating approximately 187 new biodiversity units for sale.

  This scheme sits within the Wiltshire Planning Authority, providing a vast coverage for trading biodiversity units on a 1:1 basis.

  A combination of mixed scrub creation alongside orchard and grassland enhancement will improve connectivity across the landscape, contributing to wildlife corridors in the area. The site is strategically positioned adjacent to the River Avon Systems SSSI and is surrounded by several areas of priority broadleaved, mixed, and conifer woodland habitat.

   

  The biodiversity baseline and the Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan have not yet been completed for this scheme.

  • Traditional Orchards of High Distinctiveness
  • Heathland and Shrub of medium Distinctiveness
